1. Overview
Lynxbe is a unified business communication and CRM platform. Service businesses use it to manage bookings, customer relationships, messaging, and calls in one place.
The Zoom integration lets a business connect its own Zoom account so that Lynxbe can create Zoom meetings automatically. A Zoom meeting is created whenever a customer books an appointment through Lynxbe, or when a time is finalized in Lynxbe's group meeting scheduler. The resulting Zoom join link is shared with every participant, and meeting status is kept in sync through Zoom webhooks.
2. Prerequisites
- A Lynxbe account with access to the Booking system and/or the Meeting Scheduler.
- A Zoom account with permission to create meetings (a Basic Zoom account is sufficient).
- Permission within your business to connect third-party integrations (typically an admin or owner).
3. Connecting your Zoom account
- In Lynxbe, open Settings → Integrations (or the Meeting Scheduler / Booking settings).
- Click Connect Zoom. You'll be redirected to Zoom's secure authorization page.
- Sign in to Zoom (if prompted) and review the requested permissions, then click Allow.
- Zoom returns you to Lynxbe and your account shows as Connected, with the email of the connected Zoom account.
4. Using the integration
Bookings
When a customer books an appointment configured as an online meeting, Lynxbe creates a Zoom meeting in your connected account and includes the join link in the confirmation sent to the customer.
Group meeting scheduler
Create a meeting poll, let participants mark their availability, and confirm a time. When you finalize the time, Lynxbe creates the Zoom meeting and shares the join link with all participants by email and WhatsApp.
Meeting options
When creating the meeting, Lynxbe applies the options you choose, including:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Passcode | Auto-generated or custom passcode, or none. |
| Waiting room | Hold participants until the host admits them. |
| Mute on entry | Participants join muted. |
| Recording | None, local, or cloud recording. |
| Require authentication | Only signed-in Zoom users can join. |
Keeping meetings in sync
Lynxbe subscribes to Zoom meeting webhooks. When a meeting starts, ends, is updated, or is deleted in Zoom, the matching booking or meeting record in Lynxbe is updated automatically.
5. Disconnecting & uninstalling
From Lynxbe
Open Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect Zoom. Lynxbe deactivates the connection and stops creating new Zoom meetings for your account.
From Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Go to Manage → Added Apps (or search for the Lynxbe app).
- Click Remove next to the Lynxbe app.
Removing the app from Zoom sends Lynxbe a deauthorization notification. On receiving it, Lynxbe deactivates the stored connection and removes the associated Zoom access and refresh tokens.
6. Data usage & permissions
Lynxbe requests only the Zoom permissions needed to create and manage the meetings you schedule through Lynxbe:
| Permission (scope) | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
meeting:read / meeting:write | Create, read, update, and cancel the Zoom meetings scheduled through Lynxbe. |
user:read | Identify the connected Zoom account (name/email) so meetings are created in the correct account. |
What Lynxbe stores: the connected account's identifier and email, the OAuth access and refresh tokens (encrypted), and the details of meetings created through Lynxbe (such as the Zoom meeting ID and join link).
What Lynxbe does not access: your Zoom cloud recordings, in-meeting chat, contacts, or any meetings not created through Lynxbe.
For full details on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
